The Monarch Project
The Monarch Project
The Monarch Project is a book comprised of 22 personal stories of overcoming adversity. Within the book contains portraits of each individual portraying their story through imagery. The camera that was used is the Hasselblad 501c series, a medium format film camera. Each story is written by the individual themselves and mildly edited by me. I am also in the book. My desire is to bridge the gaps between human struggles and through our differences.
“Life breathes luscious scenes into ones fleeting momentous chapters
into one's storybook they are kept
for future recollection, for future growth and connection by many.
These are the stories of such individuals who defied their own adversity, who refused to remain silent in their storms, who listened to their own spirits and not those around them. These are the everyday heroes among us.
Let us not judge or be judged by others for we all have a story and we are all one through our commonality... humanity. “ - Leslee Anne Trotter
